Continuing to Build Relationships
One Day at a time, One Project at a time!
Jenn started working at Proulx Building in June 2016 and is a great asset to the company. She is responsible for our marketing program and remodeling shows. Jenn is very creative and thinks outside the box. She also handles our Facebook page and website and taps into current trends. Her kindness also includes baking for all of the employees and making everyone feel special on their birthday. Jenn is well rounded and very detail oriented with all the office work that crosses her desk. She provides us with fun facts and different ideas to make the company successful.
Jenn lives with her three teenage children in Stafford CT along with the family dog and two cats. Before her kids graduate high school (within the next two years), she would love to take a family vacation to see the sights in Texas. Her favorite thing to bake is cookies and she would love to own a farm one day!
Tim is our all-around guy that has been working with us for almost 5 years now. You can usually find Tim working on your project near the end as he is our finish carpenter. He has years of experience installing cabinets and vanities, all kinds of trim, windows, doors - you name it!
Tim currently lives in Ellington CT. One of his interests is in training dogs. Tim's current pride and joy is his dog Gunner (pictured). Gunner is 3 years old and can go anywhere with Tim, listens to all his commands and is the best guard dog! Tim would love to vacation to Alaska, his favorite thing to eat is crab legs and he listens to country and rock music.
Ethan has been with Proulx Building since finishing high school in June 2017. Ethan is very dependable and always shows up to the job ready to work. He listens and learns from all the guys he works with and continues to build on his knowledge and experience. Ethan is kind and respectful; just a great all-around young man. We are lucky to have him working for us!
Ethan lives in Stafford CT with his mom, dad, three brothers (Ethan is a triplet!) and their dog Harlo. When asked a few questions about himself, here is what Ethan had to say about:
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Be a lead carpenter.
What do you do in your free time?
I like to ride and race dirt bikes.
And lastly, if you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Australia - I want to see the Australia Zoo where Steve Irwin started out.
George has been with us since November 2016. He is very dependable and is a great team player. We appreciate that George is versatile and can adapt to any project we have building at the moment. Also, George is one of our go-to-guys when we need something created or built for a display at our office (ie: creating sign stands, decorating for holidays, etc....the blue fingers were from painting some waves for an annual scarecrow event!). He has many years of experience with building sets and props for the Hole in the Wall Gang in Ashford CT.
George is an outdoorsman by nature. Loves to hunt, fish and go camping. He lives out in the woods of Eastford CT with his wife and children. His first full time job was at UConn Kitchens, favorite family memory was going to Vermont for the summer with Gramps, and the farthest place George has visited is on vacation in Mexico.
Norman has been with us since April 2019. He brings so much knowledge & experience to our jobs every day (over 35+ years' of experience!). Some background on Norm - he grew up in Maine logging with his father. Moved to CT in 1985 working in furniture making & construction. Moved back to Maine making bedroom furniture, met his wife Joanne & they moved back to CT in 1990. Norman has continued in the building industry with residential houses, worked with cabinetry, trim, roofing & siding. Also worked on the commercial side of construction, a janitorial position at an elementary school & held a carpenter / shop foreman position for a garage and timber frame company.
Norman calls Stafford CT home with his wife and two children. His favorite movie is watching his children's home movies. Some fun things Norm likes to do in his free time is fishing with his son and daughter. Some hunting, too. He is a good card player, enjoys his new pavilion and fire pit and likes to bake zucchini bread with his daughter. Something he has always wanted to do is buy an old Ford pick-up truck.
Lynn came to work part-time as a bookkeeper for Rob in the middle of the 90s. Another one of the long-time employees (like Spike!) that Rob can count on day-in and day-out. Lynn has handled the books for many different types of companies over the years and brings a wealth of knowledge to Proulx Building. She has been in our front office for many years and keeps everything running smoothly. We are lucky to have such a dedicated asset working for us!
In Lynn's free time, she loves to drive her Mustang convertible around! She treated herself to this red baby a few years back and loves to drive anywhere with the top down. She likes to go out to eat, sometimes trying new places and also spending the day with her mom (pictured to the left).
Rich has been with Rob since 2007 where he started working in the field. He then began to assist in estimating jobs which progressed into quoting full time in 2010. Rich listens to our clients' needs and wants and value engineers the project for the best outcome. Rich started working in the construction industry in 1983. At one time he owned his own business building new houses west of the river.
Rich lives in Stafford CT with his wife Denise and their four boys. He is a spontaneous guy who loves to go to motocross races with his boys and dabble in the real estate market. He likes to play the occasional Keno game or hit the casino for a fun night out. Rich loves his coffee! If you happen to run into him, chances are good that he will have a coffee in his hand!
Mark is Rob's son & is the next generation of Proulx Building & Remodeling. Mark has been working in the remodeling & building industry since his days attending Cheney Tech High School where he studied for the Carpentry trade. He graduated as the Top Carpenter in his class! He has been full time in the field for almost 6 years. Also, last summer Mark earned his Construction Supervisor License for the State of Massachusetts.
Mark spends a lot of time outdoors. He loves to hunt & fish, ride quads & go snowboarding. Mark is up for any new adventure! He recently went through the process of building his own new home, too. Mark's favorite food is pulled pork & he would love to travel to Australia someday.
Spike has been working with Rob since the early 1990's. He brings an overwhelming amount of knowledge and leadership to the job every day. Spike is one of our go-to-guys and works hard to get the project done right the first time.
In Spike's free time, he loves hunting and fishing, camping with the family, going to the races and playing darts with friends. He was our Corn Hole Champion at our last Proulx outing!
